Lesson 10: Simulation steps

Step 1

For this project I connected a servo to the Arduino that I control through a potentiometer on the simulator. The steps are shown in the video above.

Step 2

Select the used inputs and outputs on the simulator. In this case we use a potentiometer on analog pin A0 to change the angle in degrees (°). The servo is connected to digital pin 12. Connect the Arduino with the COM port in the simulator and start simulating.

Step 3

Add the myservowrite instruction to control the servo on the simulator. The myservo.write instruction controls the connected servo on the Arduino board. Then upload your code and start the simulation.

The instructions that communicate with the simulator are based on similar Arduino codes. Only the first letter needs to be replaced by a capital letter, remove the dot in the instruction with a dot ‘.’ and your ready to simulate.

The simulator library codes are as follows:
